Every 66 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s.  Over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s Disease. 160, 000 North Carolina Families were affected by Alzheimer’s in 2017.  The number of those affected by this disease is expected to grow to close to 14 million by 2050. Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death and the only disease among the top 10 causes of death in Americans that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.

Raising awareness is critical.  By raising awareness of Alzheimer’s and Dementia and its impact on family life, we are taking a crucial step towards making a difference in our community.   Please join us at Martin Street Baptist Church, Family Life Center for the Second Annual Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias Community Summit on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9:00 am – 1:15 pm
